Wherever you are, I am thinking of you.

These lovely items won't be available until late next week, but check out this special preview before they go on sale! It's a lovely batch of newer designer pieces by Zac Posen, Dries van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Commes des Garcons, Versace, Alexander McQueen, Jil Sander, Marni, etc. Plus, some lovely vintage millinery and a mix of vintage and designer handbags from the likes of Chanel, Longchamp, and Ferragamo. A truly lovely group that was a ton of fun to style!

Still messing with the settings for my light and camera in my new outdoor studio (aka my back yard in Silverlake). Can you sense the confusion in my face?
The good news is, my quads are getting a great workout from lots of squatting down for close-ups.
You can see more of my messing around HERE. Read More

You may recognize the LA River Trails from the classic truck chase scene from Terminator 2: Judgment Day (you know you want to watch it again now, so HERE IT IS).
There is a paved bike trail now that runs along the river, so I rode it the other day. Not the most exciting, but it's flat and if you're out there without too many other people you can open it up. Coming from the Midwest, to be able to ride surrounded by mountains and palm trees cannot be beat (especially when I'm seeing photos of Jeff with shoe covers on in MPLS!).

With trailer in tow, we packed up the dogs, and Mark and I took the southern route from Milwaukee to Los Angeles.
This is one of my favorite songs. Not only is Love the ultimate in eternal cool, but the lyrics in this song (as with most of Arthur Lee's lyrics in general) - they stay with you.
My faves: "And for everyone who think that life is just a game - Do you like the part you're playing?"
And: "The things that I must do consist of more than style."
And of course, the simple-yet-contextually-profound: "This is the time and life that I am living."
Last weekend, I rode in a 24-hour bike race in Milwaukee. I fell down a very steep dirt and stone "shortcut" to Lakefront Brewery and am now thankful to possess all my teeth.
Our Team! Sarah Murder from Pushbike San Francisco, Natalie Goforth from Fast Folks Austin, Jeff Frane from Bike Jerks / All-City, and Mark Sirek from Own Power Milwaukee.
Who wouldn't ride for 24 hour straight with this man and his onesie?
